BGE Inc. is seeking an Experienced Engineer in Training (EI / EIT) to join our Public Works department at our Tampa office.

  • Assist Project Engineers by providing engineering design support (engineering reports, design calculations, quantity and cost estimates) for municipal water, wastewater, hydraulics, hydrology, roadway, and civil engineering design projects.
  • Perform entry-level professional engineering work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks through effective mentorship.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and production of reports, plans, specifications and estimates.
  • Be involved in all project aspects from client meetings, design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE)
  • 2-4 years of experience working with water, wastewater, hydraulics, hydrology, and/or transportation design
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2016, Civil 3D 2016
  • GIS experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Adobe Acrobat Standard experience
