DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

2. Performs regular, daily rounds of assigned buildings and docks

3. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures

4. Performs opening and closing job duties

5. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

6. Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues

7. Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor

8. Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position

2. Must have a positive attitude

3. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment

4. Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills

5. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity

6. Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously

7. Excellent attention to detail.

8. Must be able to pass a background check

9. Basic water safety skills

10. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions

11. Ability to work under pressure.

12. Must be able to work flexible hours on the needs of the property
