Stellar Energy Summer 2025 Internship Program – Engineering Internships (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical)
Location: Corporate Office - Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 12 Weeks (Summer 2025)
Internship Type: Full-time (Part-time considered for students with concurrent coursework or part-time employment)
Pay: $20/hr

Program Overview: We are seeking talented and motivated Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Electrical Engineering students to join our Summer 2025 Internship Program. This 12-week internship will provide an immersive experience where interns will work directly with engineering teams on real-world projects, gain invaluable exposure to industry-standard practices, and contribute to meaningful initiatives at Stellar Energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers on challenging projects.
- Take on key tasks related to Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering in the renewable energy sector.
- Work on a hands-on project that you will present at the end of the internship.
- Assist in research, design, and development of engineering solutions.
- Participate in team meetings, presentations, and brainstorming sessions.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to better understand how engineering projects are executed.
- Develop a deeper understanding of industry practices, standards, and software tools.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering).
- Must be a Junior or Senior student in good standing with the university by Summer 2025.
- A passion for engineering, energy, and sustainability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior internship or project experience related to your engineering discipline is a plus (but not required).
Additional Information:
- Full-time commitment required (with consideration for part-time hours for students taking classes or working part-time).
- The internship will take place at our Corporate office.
- Interns will receive competitive compensation for the duration of the program.
Summary: The Engineering Intern provides technical and administrative support to the Stellar Energy design group. The Engineering Intern will report to the Engineering Manager. Work may include: coordinating design documents, copying or filing hard copies or electronic copies of design documents, formatting and/or compiling engineering reports, performing engineering calculations, and configuring design software tools.
Duties
The Engineering Intern will work closely with engineers and designers to produce project design work products, such as reports, drawings, calculations, analysis, checklists, engineering standards, and product assessments.
Tools
Engineering Intern to be proficient in the use of a PC to open, modify, and store files, and must have a familiarity with computer network drives or file storage locations. Autocad experience is a plus. Engineering Intern will regularly use MS Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge and past experience with a pdf viewer/editor package are expected. Use of internet browser applications to research products will be required.
Experience
Engineering Intern to have equivalent of an Associates 2-year degree in drafting or related technical discipline. Previous experience in a design or engineering environment is a plus.
