Job Title: Afterschool Site Leader

Reports to: Deputy Executive Director

Status: Part-Time (25 – 30 hrs. pr. wk.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Afterschool Site Leader will provide and ensure program content is delivered students to improve their academics skills, physical talents, and social emotional abilities. The Afterschool Site Leader will be responsible the site is in compliance with the funder’s requirements. The Afterschool Site Leader will supervise the Afterschool Counselors and ensure the students are learning and socializing in a positive manner.

To be a successful Afterschool Site Leader, you should be thorough and caring with an eye for detail. You should be prepared to meet the physical demands of the position and have an understanding of the childhood development process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily program operations of the afterschool program.
  • Develop Responsible for providing oversight and leadership to the afterschool staff to ensure the fidelity of service delivery as aligned with the program model.
  • Performs duties related to planning, implementing, directing, and coordinating both program and operational activities of the afterschool program
  • Supervise Afterschool Counselors
  • Manage partnerships
  • Prepare program reports for submission to funder(s)
  • Monitor data collection
  • Monitor service delivery
  • Make recommendations in support of continuous improvement to the organization
  • Assists with the recruiting and intake process of program participants.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field
  • At least two years’ demonstrated experience in program implementation and coordination and building relationships with community partners
  • Must obtain the 40-childcare license.
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth K-12
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with other team members, training personnel, community providers and corporate partners
  • Knowledgeable of The Children’s Trust and the Early Childhood Coalition landscape in Miami-Dade and in Broward County
  • Informed on community support service organizations in Miami-Dade County
  • Proven ability to prepare grant reports and other correspondence required by funders
  • Knowledgeable of overseeing program budget
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings
  • Experienced working on performance-based contracts.
  • Experience understanding needs assessments
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suites such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must maintain a valid Driving Licenses at all times during employment.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational, follow-up, follow-through and listening skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
