John's Island Security is a proprietary company, working for John's Island Property Owners Assoc. in Vero Beach FL.

Tasked with providing 24-hour Security for its residents and guests, we instill trust, honesty, and respect in our officers, promoting peace and harmony throughout our community.

Role Description

This is a full-time 40-hour benefited position for a Security Officer. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property and its residents. Monitoring and controlling ingress and egress to the property, patrolling the premises, and responding to any security incident. The Security Officer will enforce property rules and regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read and write English
• Previous experience in security or a related field is required
• FL Security "D" and "G" Licenses recommended
• Ability to effectively communicate and de-escalate tense situations
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen check
