We are seeking a Interventional Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full time, benefits-eligible position. The hours for this positions are Monday-Friday 8a-4p or 830a-430p
This position includes:

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for assisting in patient care duties as related to interventional radiology procedures and physician demands.
SUPERVISED BY: Nursing Supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Must be comfortable handling blood and tissue specimens
Must have the ability to walk and stand up to 6 hours per shift
Assist with moving and lifting of patients, assisting patients to the restroom, and any other patient care duties as needed. Requires lifting capability up to 50lb
Assisting with calling and scheduling patients as well as hands on patient care
Preparation of patients for their respective examinations.
Assist radiologists or radiology assistant with procedures.
Scheduling appropriate exams required after diagnosis at radiologists’ discretion.
Reads patient notes and follows patient safety screening instructions.
Stocking and organization of all work areas.
Requirements:
EDUCATION:
High school degree or equivalent.
Medical Assisting certification required
EXPERIENCE:
2-5 years of previous clinical experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
1. Knowledge of health care field.

3. Ability to use tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.
4. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Combination of standing 4-6 hours per day, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and transferring activities. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately. Occasional stress from multiple requests.
