Position Summary:

The Clinical Informatics department is the central point of contact for all clinical application related incidents and service requests. The role of the Clinical Application Support Specialist is to create and revise all templates in Athena and working closely with Radix to build all provider scheduling profiles. The Specialist will monitor all clinical change request forms and handle requests in a timely manner. They are responsible for resolving support requests relating to the Radix Dash Central and Self platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and revising all Provider and Diagnostic scheduling templates in Athena.
  • Monitor all clinic change form requests in queue to ensure they are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • New template builds

  • Template freeze/unfreeze requests
  • Monitor monthly Template expiration date report and build out any required templates to the two-year maximum limit.
  • Meets with Providers to discuss recommendations for template revisions.

  • Complete thorough testing of all new provider’s chief complaints, appointment types, insurance, and locations prior to deployment.
  • Work closely with the Scheduling Manager and Supervisor to ensure Providers schedules are created/edited prior to request date.
  • Handles all Dash Self (Scheduling related) Radix helpdesk requests ensuring they are addressed/escalated to the vendor in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Report Dash Self statistics to the Clinical Informatics Manager.
  • Work directly with Radix development team CSM’s to create new content and monitor Scheduling program.
  • Work closely with the Scheduling Manager to maintain and develop the Radix triage program.
  • Attend and provide content for Radix weekly meetings.
  • Create Policies and Procedures and SOP’s pertaining to Clinic Change Request, Template building and new Provider creation in Radix.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
  • Oversees the creation and maintains Appointment Reminders and Communications in Radix.
  • To be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
  • To create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient.
  • To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.
  • To follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues.
  • To inform management of recurring problems.
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a clinical application support role.
  • Previous experience building and managing templates.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
