The Busser/Food Runner is responsible for supporting the service team by delivering food, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for members and guests. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and familiarity with the club's floor plan to provide efficient service.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $13.00 + gratuities
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Deliver food promptly and accurately to the correct table and member.
• Bus tables efficiently, removing used dishes and resetting tables for the next guests.
• Assist with the service of secondary items such as refills, sauces, bread, and condiments.
• Pre-bus tables by clearing unnecessary items throughout the meal.
• Carry dirty trays and bus tubs to the dish area safely and efficiently.
• Set up and break down buffets and service stations as needed.
• Complete all opening, closing, and side work tasks throughout the shift.
• Maintain knowledge of the club's floor plan to navigate the dining areas effectively.
• Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and fellow team members to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to all club service standards, safety protocols, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have one (1) year’s previous experience in a food service position.
• Responsible vendor and Food Handler Certificates preferred.
• Prioritize and organize work.
• Work effectively in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle dishes, trays, and service equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly; heavier lifting may require assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Reach with hands and arms, bend stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned through visual acuity.
• Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.
• Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.
• Withstand a moderate noise level.
