Job Title: Fabrication Manager for a dental laboratory

Salary DOE – 80-100k

Location:

Tampa, FL

Position Status:

Full Time

Must haves of this position as Fabrication Manager with a well versed knowledge in Implants

• Can perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision

Position Description:

The Director of Manufacturing Technology and US Fabrication is responsible for providing leadership and direction of the US fabrication operations and overseeing all identification, evaluation, and deployment of manufacturing technology across this lab's global facilities. The primary purpose of this position is to drive efficiency and productivity in our U.S. fabrication operation and to develop, validate, and implement strategies in terms of material, equipment, fabrication process, design, and fabrication software to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity to support this lab's world fabrication operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. fabrication operation and the development, validation, and implementation of dental laboratory manufacturing technology across this labs global operations

• Stay current on industry trends, innovations, developments, and best practices in dental laboratory manufacturing technology and keep the executive and operations leadership team updated on those trends and practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

• Identifies and drives implementation of operational and manufacturing improvement initiatives within and across manufacturing facilities

• Ensure maintenance of US-based manufacturing technology and equipment for efficient production

• Identifies and mitigates risks in US fabrication operations that could negatively impact cost, quality, and/or the delivery of products to customers

• Supervise technician team responsible for US fabrication

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators and track progress to identify areas for improvement.

• Investigates root causes working cross-functionally to provide analysis & recommendations for operational improvement

• Prioritize and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards related to dental laboratory fabrication.

• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet Company goals

• Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, including personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. Investigate and report work-related injuries or incidents

• Enforce all company policies and procedures

• Ensures effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.

• Constructively coach/mentor employees for improvement

• Enforce all company policies and procedures

• Additional duties assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of dental laboratory experience required

• Knowledge of dental business, including managing highly specialized technicians and front-line staff.

• Proven track record in leadership, people development, and the attainment of company goals

• Proven ability to assess, coach, and develop talent

• Strong interpersonal skills (both in groups and one-on-one interaction)

• Demonstrated leadership

• Self-sufficient and displays a solution-oriented mindset and work approach

• Agile and organized working style to manage and consistently prioritize key initiatives

• Creative problem-solving abilities

Travel: Responsible for appropriate execution of technology for global facilities. Up to 25% International travel is required annually.
