Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation: Install and assemble pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water supply, drainage, and gas lines.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and execute plumbing installations from blueprints and specifications.
- Pipefitting: Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools; install and connect plumbing components.
- Fixture Installation: Install and maintain plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, toilets, and water heaters.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks and clogs.
- Pipe Inspection: Conduct inspections to proactively identify plumbing problems.
- Backflow Prevention: Install and maintain devices to ensure water quality.
- Pressure Testing: Conduct tests to identify leaks or weaknesses in systems.
- Welding and Soldering: Join pipes and fittings as required.
- Collaboration: Work alongside general contractors and electricians for seamless plumbing integration.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to plumbing codes and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex plumbing issues effectively.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed and inspections conducted.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 years of plumbing experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Journeyman License or Master License is a plus
