About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and drive the success of our asphalt paving operations in West Palm Beach. This leadership role is critical to ensuring operational excellence across all projects, optimizing workforce and equipment utilization, maintaining client satisfaction, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving and construction management, combined with proven operational and leadership expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of asphalt paving crews, equipment, and project scheduling.
Oversee project execution from pre-construction planning through final completion, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and profitability.
Work closely with project managers, estimators, superintendents, and clients to ensure project objectives are met or exceeded.
Forecast and coordinate labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Monitor job costs, budgets, and financial performance; proactively address variances.
Lead, mentor, and develop field and office staff to strengthen company capabilities.
Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and municipal agencies.
Enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
Analyze operational processes and make recommendations for improvements to drive growth and profitability.
Oversee maintenance and utilization of fleet and equipment assets.

Requirements:

Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in asphalt paving, heavy civil construction, or related industries.
At least 3+ years of experience in an operational management or senior supervisory role.
Deep knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials, equipment, and DOT specifications.
Strong financial and budgeting skills; ability to manage P&L statements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Proficient with project management software, scheduling systems (such as P6, MS Project), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (but not required with equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

Florida DOT (FDOT) project experience.
OSHA 30 Certification.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
