WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • The operational leadership of YFA’s array of community Behavioral Health services, including prevention services for children and adults.
  • The integration of Behavioral Health services within YFA programs and services as well as with external service providers, and for the development and implementation of new behavioral health services to meet the needs of YFA's clients while taking advantage of new opportunities in the community behavioral health system of care.
  • The effective management of the behavioral health and prevention programs, including the oversight of quality, compliance, outcomes, staffing safety, service delivery and financial performance.
  • Ensuring the appropriate use of resources to provide effective and efficient behavioral health and prevention services.
  • Identifying and maintaining strategic linkages with local and state organizations, agencies and groups, in the area of Prevention, Behavioral Health and Medicaid services and programming whose influence, support and assistance could be of value to the organization.
  • Remaining aware of Medicaid rules and regulations nationally and in Florida to oversee the related functions in behavioral health services and to provide staff training
  • The applicant is required to be a proven, successful leader who takes ownership of financial, operational, service, clinical outcome and strategic responsibilities while maintaining the importance of fostering positive relationships.
  • Develop relationships with Universities and implement a robust internship program that attracts potential staff to YFA
  • Provide clinical services to children and families including assessments, individual and family therapy, and treatment planning.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in behavioral health
  • Active license in social work (LCSW) required
  • Five years of progressively responsible management experience and staff supervision required
  • Strong fiscal management
  • Excellent language skills both written and spoken to communicate information and any and all needed information to staff, leadership and key partners
  • Travel may vary based on Organizational need

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to maintain a wide range of internal and external relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a group/team setting and show respect to others
  • Ability to work at a high level of autonomy, and exhibit sound decision-making skills and critical thinking
  • Proven problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Skilled in actively listening to concerns, providing a safe space for individuals to express themselves without judgment or blame

Physical Requirements: Position requires employee to work with computers daily. Ability to travel in multi-county areas frequently. Ability to lift 25 pounds, bend, stand or sit for extended periods of time.
