Serving as a recognized senior leader of the Bank, the Territory Executive is responsible for the leadership, management and performance of a defined geographical branch network typically consisting of four or more markets, which may span multiple states. Responsibilities include leading and coaching all performance objectives for designated Territory. Provides the overall leadership of retail banking related activities within the Territory, including all talent, sales, service and operational aspects. Provides coaching to Market Leaders, and effective business management in quality, operations and risk and compliance. The Territory Executive may perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required. The position is responsible for being a role model for Flagstar’s client-centric culture, while embracing diversity and maintaining ethics and integrity. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaching & Talent Development: Set clear expectations and measurable outcomes, while coaching and developing the Market Leaders and other team members. Provide training, development and coaching to market leaders and branch teams on our mission and how to effectively engage in our broader communities and customers to deliver our performance targets. Actively support the execution of partner produced sales through partnership routines by maintaining open communication and collaboration between branch team members, business partners (including mortgage, wealth and business banking) and leadership. Create a culture of highly engaged teammates who are motivated and inspired by our mission and understand how to leverage this to drive performance execution. Responsible for the retention and development of teammates within the territory. Engages in succession planning for all levels of branch personnel. When appropriate, provide disciplinary actions and exit non-performers while adhering to company policies. Successfully recruits and hires to deliver on company strategy and expectations. Effectively plans, organizes, directs, analyzes and evaluates staff and processes. Connects strategy to day-to-day activities.
- Territory Performance Management: Successfully leads markets within defined geographical territory to ensure financial and activity targets are met. Focus on behaviors that drive achievement of key performance metrics while deepening relationships with clients using the tools available. Oversees all sales activity in the territory by leading, coaching and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Stays informed of key priorities and business updates and regularly communicates key messages with all team members. This position will be responsible for demonstrating a strong skill in communicating key messages and executing on sales initiatives.
- Risk Management: Ensures teammate awareness, understanding and adherence to all applicable bank policies and regulations. Fosters a culture of disciplined risk management helping teams identify and mitigate reputational, regulatory, employee and client risks. Actively identifies and is responsible for higher and/or broader levels of risk management. Mitigates different types of risk (e.g. regulatory, reputational, operational, credit, human capital etc.). Serves as the escalation point for risk management topics, coordinates problem solving and has exception authority. This role is fully aware of any and all audit issues throughout the Territory and responds to audit inquiries as necessary. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
- Territory Strategy: Holds the team accountable for the execution of sales management strategies, monitors business results/metrics and adapts sales strategies and tactics. Fosters a culture focused on providing an exceptional client experience with a commitment to delivering on our mission and purpose. Leverages reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and coach team to successfully convert sales opportunities. Ensures an excellent client experience by ensuring teammates are knowledgeable and can provide an outstanding client experience through quality client interactions. Provides training and coaching as needed to ensure teammates are prepared and knowledgeable when engaging with clients. Ability to resolve problems and executes strong decision making.

- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign EquivalentHigh School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
- Minimum experience required: 12+ Years branch banking management experience with 5+ years’ experience managing distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
