We are seeking an experienced Lighting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in architectural lighting and a passion for design and customer service. Candidates with an ALA (American Lighting Association) certification or equivalent qualifications are strongly preferred.
As a Lighting Specialist at Maison & Co., you will play a key role in driving sales, advising clients on lighting solutions, and ensuring projects achieve both aesthetic and functional excellence.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Rotating Schedule on Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (When scheduled to work on a Saturday, you will receive a designated day off during the week.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new opportunities to grow Maison & Co.’s lighting portfolio.
- Work closely with the Business Development team to convert leads into long-term clients.
- Provide expert guidance on architectural and decorative lighting solutions tailored to client needs.
- Assist clients with lighting layout design and specifications.
- Conduct product demonstrations, clearly articulating benefits and features to clients.
- Leverage your technical expertise to ensure clients make informed decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales interactions and transactions using the company’s CRM.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships and identify potential leads.
- Travel to project design meetings and site visits to ensure client satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- ALA Certification (preferred but not required).
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of architectural lighting systems, including technical and design aspects.
- Familiarity with residential construction processes and construction documents.
- Knowledge of lighting products and current industry trends.
- Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills:
- Proven experience in lighting design, sales, or related fields (electrical contracting or distribution preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities.
- Organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently to achieve goals.
