Production Support Engineer
On-site Miami | Permanent
The Corporate Technology Production Support team is responsible for production support and ownership of critical applications, which are primarily handled by the Middle Office, Operations, and Treasury teams. These applications contribute to the firm's PnL calculations, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
The Corporate Technology Production Support team will work very closely with development to ensure that the environment is stable and resilient and that new features and functionality are delivered in a timely fashion.

Principal Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of the production environment
  • Infrastructure management
  • Release planning and deployment
  • Incident and problem management
  • Supporting cloud-based pipelines, applications, and infra
  • Capacity Planning / BCP Testing
  • Build strong relationships with development and end-users/clients
  • Foster the DevOps culture
  • Proactively identify problems and propose solutions
  • Focus on client service and delivery
  • Become the go-to person for your area of responsibility
  • Build subject matter expertise


Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting an enterprise environment
  • Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • Must have previous experience supporting business-facing applications
  • Must have strong scripting skills in one of the following: Python (preferred), PowerShell, Perl, etc.
  • Must have excellent SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems - be able to run and understand complex queries
  • Experience Supporting financial applications, and functional understanding is highly desirable
  • Experience with ETL and working with Big Data is highly desirable
  • Ability to support both Windows and Unix/Linux environments
  • Exposure to the following: CI/CD, AWS, Kafka, Data lakes
