The Maintenance Supervisor assists and reports to the Facilities Leader in maintaining our equipment and premises, which includes office spaces, refrigerated and dry warehouses, and common areas. This role is based out of our Miami, FL location. The role’s duties include, but are not limited to, management of scheduled and as-needed maintenance and repair tasks involving varied mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for our warehouse machinery and HVAC systems. The role will also require groundskeeping, and both indoor and outdoor building maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate with and oversee all work performed by the Maintenance team. If you are ready to take on this dynamic role, we would love to hear from you!
What you’ll be up to - Essential Functions
- Coordinates maintenance activities with and for the Maintenance team to ensure efficient operation of the facilities.
- Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs with and for the Maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
- Schedules maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
- Collaborates with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Creates and implements a preventive maintenance schedule with and for the Maintenance team for all machinery based on manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Requests quotes from outside contractors for improvements and repairs and presents to Facilities Leader.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and schedules, including work orders and inventories, to report to the Facilities Leader.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Superpowers required - Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of experience in Facilities maintenance.
- Supervisory skills
- Previous knowledge of engine mechanics, electrical parts, plumbing, and related functions required.
- Able to lift min. 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Project management skills to plan, organize, and execute facility projects.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with group members, vendors, and contractors.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations.
- English and Spanish are required.
