SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC machinery to fabricate metallic and non metallic parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following:
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. - Regular attendance is a requirement that is key to performing the job. - Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw material in CNC machinery. - Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. - Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance. Must be self-sufficient. - Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements. - Must be proficient with FANUC controls. - Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling. - Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets. - Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment. - Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department. - Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures. - Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. - Communicates honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills. - Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); - At least five years experience in production.
TRAINING
- “On-The-Job” training is provided, sufficiently enough (as determined by the initial level of education and/or experience) to teach the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Training is not limited to, but may include the following:
- “Right To Know” Training – Must be completed within the first three months of employment.
