JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development and design of project architecture to fulfill strategic business requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert in the implementation of new technologies in order to successfully enable technology activities critical to the success of Norwegian Cruise Lines and Holdings. Must support the Enterprise Architect team on all functions of Enterprise Architecture.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze risks associated with NCLH capital projects. Support security efforts within NCLH and drive changes needed to respond to emerging threats.
- Design solutions for external 3rd party application access.
- Create and implement enterprise/business architecture policies and standards utilizing best practices that ensure that all solutions will be delivered in a manner that allows NCLH to maintain market leadership.
- Monitor the progress of development projects and assist in the resolution of issues and delays impacting the successful conclusion of the project. Serve as the subject matter expert on assigned projects.
- Forecast resource utilization and capacity. Establish and maintain a planning process to forecast project timelines and identify additional resource requirements.
- Oversee solution initiatives between in-house developers, third-party applications developers, and outside consultants.
- Critique completed projects to determine variations from established processes and identify opportunities for process and architectural standards improvement.
- Resolve issues arising from requests to change business specifications or defined tasks.
- Monitor new technological advances in application development and Information Technologies through professional groups, trade publications, and personal networking. Recommend and plan for the adoption of appropriate new technologies.
- Provide enterprise and business architecture direction to various groups including Information Technology, Implementations, and Product Management; guide and coach staff in the completion of their daily responsibilities and ensure that established policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide enterprise architecture training, and guidance to assist them in their professional and personal development, particularly with respect to mentoring team members in architecture and analysis processes, enterprise design, and strategic solution planning.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement solution architecture in accordance with the scope of the projects.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or relevant field
EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years experience in the Information Technology industry with progressively increasing levels of technical responsibility
- 4 years of direct experience developing and implementing architecture standards.

- Experience across multiple platforms, including distributed systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of architectural frameworks and the ability to produce effective design principles.
- Strong project manager with experience in consulting, productivity environment, integration, efficiency, data management and systems development and support.

- Ability to share knowledge and expertise with others by providing advice and guidance to peers and management.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- CISSP, CISA, QSA, or other security recognition desirable.
