Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Solutions Developer to join our dynamic team. This is a technical role that will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, supporting, and implementing client-facing cloud-based applications and solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies. The Microsoft 365 Solutions Developer will partner with various stakeholders and the firm's Innovation group to develop forward-thinking, innovative solutions that take our custom Microsoft 365 solution offerings to the next level.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as a Microsoft Office 365 developer with a focus on SharePoint Online and the Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power BI
- Collaborates with stakeholders, business analysts and lateral IT teams to draft requirements and identify functional specifications for assigned projects and initiatives
- Designs, implements, and maintains solutions according to agreed specifications
- Maintains knowledge of GT Information Security policies and approval processes related to Microsoft 365 and other cloud technologies used within the department
- Monitors assigned Microsoft 365 solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Provisions Microsoft 365 solutions for approved users
- Implements and maintains user life cycle processes and procedures
- Stays current with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices
- Recommends and implements improvements on Microsoft 365 technologies as directed by the manager
- Provides technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members on assigned applications
- Creates and maintains technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides and training materials
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by the manager
Skills & Competencies:
- Current working knowledge of technologies in Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint Online, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Ability to research and develop expertise in emerging Microsoft 365 and cloud-based technologies
- Ability to analyze technology incidents, apply resolutions, or implement temporary solutions to minimize disruption to business operations
- Ability to provide guidance to a diverse group of local IT professionals to deliver and support assigned solutions to users
- Ability to interface professionally with stakeholders and provide guidance to same
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret manuals and documents
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms
- Ability to build and maintain strong and positive relationships within the Innovations and IT organization
- Ability to react to changing business needs and prioritize tasks accordingly with minimal supervision
- Technical understanding of cloud concepts
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript
- Appears on camera for video meetings with colleagues and vendors
- Ability to remain professional under stressful situations
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree of Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum four years of relevant professional experience
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting technology products, especially SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
- Experience directly supporting end users using remote assistance technologies
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, and other integration technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Microsoft 365 Developer Associate or similar certification
- Experience with Azure services and other cloud platforms
